I’m a wife, mother and photographer. Sometimes all at once…and not necessarily in that order. I have an awesome husband, Steff, who I stole away from the cold and the damp of the UK 9 years ago to live in Central QLD, where he must endure almost endless sunshine and blue skies (somehow he manages), and four (sometimes scary) children, aged from 14 down to 2.5. I’m obsessive about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I love cupcakes, and I have an embarrassing weakness for fanfiction. And I say awesome a lot.
So now that you know who I am personally…how about professionally?
Living in a small town like Gladstone, I had a difficult time finding a photographer whose style was compatible with my vision, so I came to the conclusion that if I wanted it done right, I was obviously going to have to do it myself. So I picked up a camera, and the rest, as they say…is (very expensive :oP ) history!
I would describe my style as fun, fresh and modern. I work exclusively on location and with natural light, and it is my single minded goal to provide you with a unique custom portrait experience. You won’t find any dated studio backdrops and “say cheese” smiles in my portfolio, and if you turn up to your session with your entire family dressed in matching pants and white shirts, I will send you home to change. Why? Well mostly because you’re not waiters. And also because it’s not 1995. I’m doing you a favour…trust me.
I don't want to just take a photo of your child. I want to create a work of art that you'll be happy to display in your home for years to come. I want to capture him as he really is, not sitting on the couch in his Sunday best wearing his biggest cheesy grin.
My awesome assistant, Lisa, and I are totally committed to making this entire process as enjoyable as possible for you, from the moment you book to when we deliver the finished product to you, and everything in between. Because I work on the theory that less quantity = more quality, I take a very limited number of bookings each month so that I’m able to provide you with the utmost customization as well as a range of beautifully unique products.
